The 4-month sprint

Last time I wrote you, I said the campaign had launched our first TV ad and that the public phase of the campaign has begun in earnest.

It has, and the response has been terrific.  The feedback I get out on the campaign trail is really encouraging, and each day more and more people are signing up and joining the Ducey team.

Now that the legislature is adjourned, people are starting to focus on the governor’s race, including polls.  We recently did our first poll, and the data shows that almost 50% of Republican primary voters are undecided.  The field is crowded, no one is in a commanding position, and it’s likely to stay that way for awhile.

That’s why we decided to go on TV.  Thanks to your financial support we can afford to broadcast our message to a wider audience, and we're doing it. 

We enter the summer with more supporters, more donors, more public endorsements, and more energy than anyone in the field.  The foundation is solid, and now we’re taking it to the next level.  We’re confident we have a winning strategy and we’re going to show that to all of Arizona this summer.

We've hit the airwaves AZ Candidate For Governor

Today the Ducey campaign starts our public advertising push, launching our first TV ad on broadcast and cable TV statewide. You can see a link here. It’s mostly footage from my announcement speech in mid-February and is designed to let Arizonans see me in person saying what I think about the right approach to government: namely that our state needs to take control of its own destiny and resist the federal government’s desire to run everything.

This is the first ad, and there will be more to follow that fill in details about my background, my position on issues and the direction I want to lead this state. It’s a big deal. All the hard work and fundraising and coalition-building to date have been done to prepare for this moment: bringing our message to a broader audience of voters who are just now starting to tune into the race for governor. What we're building

Last week we were proud to send you the news that business legend Jerry Colangelo had endorsed my campaign for governor. 

It led to this news story in the Phoenix Business Journal. 

The article also mentioned other organizations that have endorsed our campaign, though they were just the tip of the iceberg.

Over the first quarter of the year, we have set out to build the broadest coalition of supporters of any campaign.  Business leaders, social conservatives, veterans, tea party leaders, gun owners, small businesspeople, current and former elected officials, Republican party leaders, community leaders…all these and many more are part of our coalition.

They represent a broad spectrum of the Republican party and are critical to victory in August.

Check out our website and see for yourself.  For the next four months, we’ll be able to rely on a great network of supporters as we approach primary day.  It’s a great strength for our campaign, and something no other candidate can come close to replicating.

Mr. Doucey is the 32nd State Treasurer of Arizona and wants to be Governor in 2014. He believes that his experiences as State Treasurer, community involvement, and background gives him the skills for the office of Governor. Web Page

Al Melvin AZ State Senator

Mr. Melvin is currently an Arizona State Senator who is also wanting the Govornor’s office. He “`has a background in the military and business. He is also recognized as a pro-business, pro-Constitution, pro-family legislator. Web Page

Mr. Frank Riggs

Mr. Riggs is an Arizona Businessman and Entrepreneur who was once a Congressman for the state of California. He believes it would be very advantageous to have a governor who’s served in Congress and knows how to get things done at the federal level. Web Page

With a background in accounting and law Mrs. Jones comes from Go-Daddy a web hosting service. As Governor, she looks forward to advancing Arizona’s conservative values and securing a prosperous future for generations to come. Web Page

Alice Yvonne Lukasik

Mrs. Lukasik is a resident of Camp Verde, Arizona running for the office of Governor. Lukasick believes the constitution defines how to create and maintain healthy boundaries and limits for prosperous communities and protect ourselves from harm. The Goldwater Legacy

The Goldwater legacy is strong both in Arizona and across the nation. Sen. Barry Goldwater’s book, The Conscience of a Conservative, instilled in many – including me – core conservative principles still relevant throughout the Republican Party.
