More Arizona Republican Leaders Endorse Robert Graham for a Second Term Leading the AZGOP

PHOENIX – Three more Republican Party leaders from across Arizona today endorsed Robert Graham in his campaign for a second term as Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. Graham is up for reelection at the biennial meeting of the State Committee on January 24, 2015 at the Grace Community Church in Tempe.

Councilman Jeff Oravits of the Flagstaff City Council said, "Robert Graham has my endorsement and support for re-election as Arizona's GOP Chair. As a rural Arizona Councilmember, I have been impressed with Robert's active role in the state GOP in Flagstaff's latest election. With the help of Robert's leadership, we were able to hold a conservative majority on the Flagstaff City Council for the second election in a row as well as a clean sweep of LD6, even though the area leans Democrat. I look forward to working with Robert during the 2016 election cycle."

Councilman Andy McKinney, recently elected to the Star Valley Town Council, said, "I strongly endorse Chairman Graham for reelection. His leadership has helped immeasurably to elect our Republican statewide team. He has pushed into new territory in his support of the grassroots in the Republican Party hinterlands."

Jean McGrath, recently elected to the Maricopa County Community College District Board, said, "I have served as a PC under many State Chairmen. Not since Dodie Londen have we had a more effective and dedicated Chairman than Robert Graham. I look forward to victory in 2016 with Chairman Graham leading us."

I cannot think of anyone better to serve as 2nd vice chair in Maricopa County where his job will be working with all Republican groups in the county. Aaron Borders has an outstanding work ethic along with unmatched drive and motivation. He stands strongly on his conservative principles. I am proud to be on Team Borders, and I ask you to join me in supporting Aaron Borders for MCRC 2nd VC."
Borders said, "I am very thankful for Senator Ward's endorsement. Senator Ward has been a conservative stalwart for Arizona and embodies the principles that the Republican Party should fight for to win elections. As she and many others have stated, I will work extremely hard to help our Party win elections in this next cycle."

Republican Women Leaders Endorse Robert Graham for Second Term as AZGOP Chairman

PHOENIX – Robert Graham today received endorsements from two longtime Republican Party women leaders who have been active in their support of the party and our candidates. Both voiced support for Robert Graham's quest for a second term as Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. Graham is up for reelection at the biennial meeting of the State Committee on January 24, 2015 at the Grace Community Church in Tempe.

Joan Lang, President of the Palo Verde Republican Women and a Precinct Committeeman in Legislative District 23, said, "I first heard of Robert Graham about two and a half years ago when he announced his run for State GOP Chair. I did not know him at all, but I did know that Arizona needed to elect a strong leader for that position. We needed a person who could fundraise,  a person who could help bring the State into the IT world, and a person who could speak well and represent our State with honor.  I found that Robert had all of these qualities and more.

"After speaking to him and hearing what his plans were, I decided that he was the right person for the job. I do not believe that I was wrong with my opinion. Robert has done everything he told me he would do as Chairman.  Under his guidance Arizona did use the internet to keep up with the Democrats, beating them at their own game. He raised much needed money. He went out and got involved with minority groups here in Arizona and showed them why they should look at the Republican Party for the change they need within their neighborhoods. He built up a good reputation in the State and has always made us proud.

"Ultimately, Robert's accomplishments can be summed up by looking at the election results for 2014. The Republicans won the State by big margins. We gained a Congressional seat. Arizona went from purple to red. We are looking at another difficult campaign in 2016....why in the world would we change horses mid stream? Robert has the momentum, let's let him continue the job."

Donna Alu, President of the Tucson Republican Women and former Chair of Legislative District 9 Republican Committee, said, "I am supporting Chairman Graham in the upcoming election. Because of his leadership, Republicans have retained all six statewide offices. As Chair of Legislative District 9 during the past election, I have observed the cooperation southern Arizona received from the state party: the state office, the telephone system set up in Pima County Headquarters where over 40,000 calls were made. I believe this was a key factor in the election of Martha McSally, only the second candidate to be elected to Congress from southern Arizona since statehood."

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Endorses Aaron Borders for 2nd Vice Chair Maricopa County Republican Committee

Phoenix - Aaron Borders announced the coveted endorsement of Sheriff Joe Arpaio in his run for 2nd Vice Chair of the Maricopa County Republican Committee. Sheriff Arpaio, known nationally for his stubborn commitment to enforce immigration laws against growing odds, is a highly respected voice amongst conservatives in the Republican Party.
Sheriff Arpaio said, "Aaron Borders will be a welcome addition to the MCRC leadership team, and I highly endorse him for the position of 2nd Vice Chair. His work ethic and conservative principles are needed in our Party in order to win elections in the 2016 cycle. I look forward to seeing what Aaron can bring to the MCRC in the months ahead, and I hope that you will join me in supporting Aaron Borders for 2nd Vice Chair of the Maricopa County Republican Committee."

"I am so humbled and encouraged by Sheriff Arpaio's endorsement," Borders stated. "His conservative leadership in the face of Obama's lawless administration is admirable and the main reason I pushed to earn his endorsement. The road to Party leadership in Arizona usually goes through the toughest Sheriff in America, and I am blessed to have his support as I move forward to the MCRC elections."
Aaron Borders is married to Shelly Borders, a fourth-generation Arizonan. They have four young children. Robert Graham Endorsed by Elected GOP Leaders Throughout Arizona

PHOENIX – Robert Graham today received endorsements from three important party leaders, spanning the state and including both rural and Valley GOP organizations. Party leaders elected by Apache County and Yuma County Republicans joined with the Legislative District 22 (Sun City West/Peoria) leader in Maricopa County to endorse Robert Graham for a second term as Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. Graham is up for reelection at the biennial meeting of the State Committee on January 24, 2015 at the Grace Community Church in Tempe.

Delos Bond, Chairman of the Apache County Republican Committee in northeast Arizona, wrote to Graham, "I want to congratulate you on a very successful campaign season for the Arizona Republican Party and Republican candidates this past mid-term election. Your special leadership and campaign plan, along with your fundraising effort has laid the foundation for Republican success across the State of Arizona. As you are moving forward with your campaign for another term as Party Chairman, I want you to know, you have my personal endorsement and I will continue to support you as Chairman for the Arizona Republican Party for the great State of Arizona."

Jonathan Lines, Chairman of the Yuma County Republican Central Committee in southwest Arizona, also endorsed Graham.
These two county party chairmen were joined by Eric Morgan, Chairman of Legislative District 22 in Maricopa County. Morgan said, "I am pleased to support Robert Graham for State Chairman of the Republican Party of Arizona. Not only do I know Robert to be a champion for conservative, constitutionally sound Republican principles but I have also found him to a master at positioning our state party exactly where it needs to be. For local committees to make serious headway advancing Republican principles, our party needs infrastructure, knowledge, tools and money. Robert Graham understands this and in two short years has made monumental strides in making readily available the resources local committees need to not only win elections, but promote Republican values among the voters and expand the party in the years beyond a very successful 2014. He has led the forging of new and repairing of old alliances with vastly varying communities of interest across the state, giving us, the volunteers of the party, the opportunities to engage in discussion and advance our message. At the same time, he earned the respect of many important organizations nationwide, positioning Arizona as a model for the nation. He's done this while respecting the autonomy and direction of the individual districts, counties, and their Republican volunteers. Thanks to Robert and his team, we now have an ever expanding set of resources to allow each of us to continue pushing the needle to the right. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together over the next two years leading to November 2016.

Lori Urban Candidate For AZ GOP Chairman

I am running for AZGOP Chairman because I believe that our leadership is elected to serve......
“of the people, by the people and for the people”.    I believe in our Republican Party of Freedom, Faith, Family and Belief in the Individual and the great potential we all have.  I believe in Ronald Reagan's words - “I do not believe we are doomed to a fate that will fall on us no matter what we do.  I do believe we are doomed to a fate that will fall on us if we do nothing.”  It is not enough to believe and agree with our Republican Principles - we must share our message to grow.

As your AZGOP Chairman, I will move immediately to close our primary.  We can no longer send this to committee to study.  70% of the registered Independents that voted in our last primary, voted a Republican ballot.  We need to register them as Republicans.

I will encourage our Executive Committee to be move of a voice in our Republican Party.  I am very honored to work with great people like Maricopa County Chairman AJ LaFaro, Congressional Candidate Gabby Saucedo Mercer, Arizona Freedom Alliance voice Lynne Breyer.  We are all committed to a stronger message for the AZGOP.

AJ LaFaro, as 1st Vice Chairman, is a strong voice within the legislature and closing our primaries.
Gabby Saucedo Mercer, as 2nd Vice Chairman, is a beautiful, eloquent voice for our Republican principles - Pro Jobs, Pro Family, Pro Security.
Lynne Breyer, as secretary, will continue to share her conservative voice and is a great asset our AZGOP .
Our current 3rd Vice Chairman, Christopher Campbell, is very knowledge with legislative issues and parliamentary procedure.  I also have a finance committee in the works, that will bring back many of the donors that we have lost, from not standing firm with our Republican Message.

Our AZGOP must have more of a voice in our communities, reaching out to more voters to increase our voter registration, our Precinct Committeeman numbers and share our message with people
whom need to hear our Republican Message of Yes!  Yes, we support Freedom!  Yes, we support Family!  Yes, we support Faith!  Yes, we support our State's and Nation's Security!  Yes, we support a Smaller Government!

Robert Graham has bought into an idea that the Party must not be involved in defending the very principles upon which it was founded, but must only be focused on voter registration and voter turnout.  I disagree with that position.  I am convinced that the reason people vote Republican instead of Democratic is because of our belief in Faith, Family and smaller government.

However, we can look for just a minute at the success or failure of our party here in Arizona using his guideline.  According to the Secretary of State, the number of registered voters has increased by 14,838, Republican voter registration is DOWN 32,830 under his watch (Jan 2013 to Nov 2014).   Arizona only reached 37th in voter turnout.

We just experienced a Republican tidal wave of success across the country - where all but only 4 states (of the continuous 48) gained Republican members in their legislatures.  2 of those states have Republican super majorities, Oregon - well it's Oregon, and then there is Arizona.  We barely kept the majority that we had.  Thank goodness for ................     Our race for Superintendent of Public Instruction was a nail biter and we note Diane Douglas was left off many AZGOP campaign pieces.
We may pick up a congressional seat, but that is mostly due to the efforts of Martha McSally and the National Republican Congressional Committee.  So, in Arizona we barely held onto the offices we already held.   In fact, every state bordering Arizona enjoyed Republican increases.  So, using Robert's own yardstick, he failed.

I have raised money for the Arizona Republican Party, Maricopa County Republican Committee and many candidates.  I have served Arizona as a precinct committeeman (the most important position in our party) and state committeeman.  I have brought people together and encouraged them to be active in our Republican Party through my service as Chairman of the Arizona Young Republicans and as President of Paradise Republican Women and my work within the AZ Federation of Republican Women.  I have served as the Arizona Republican National Committeewoman.  I have worked for over 30 years to share our conservative message of Freedom, Faith and Family.

I ask for your Vote and Support on January 24th at our state AZGOP meeting.  I look forward to
working for you and with you, to grow our Republican Party.

Thank you!

Chairman of Pinal County Republicans Endorses Robert Graham for Second Term Leading AZGOP

PHOENIX – Robert Graham, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, today received an endorsement from Pinal County GOP Chairman Seraphim Larsen, who credited Graham for helping the county party win every contested race in the county. Graham is up for reelection to be decided at the meeting of the State Committee on January 24, 2015 at the Grace Community Church in Tempe.

Larsen wrote:

"It has been such a pleasure working with Robert Graham on our Republican Get Out The Vote effort this election season. We have never had such an easy time coordinating with the state party.

"Chairman Graham set up regional AZGOP Victory Offices all over the state. The staff at the offices in our area bent over backwards to help our county PC efforts in whatever way possible — providing meeting space on short notice, delivering GOTV materials all across the county, and just being available to help.

"Chairman Graham did a fantastic job raising money for the Republican Party, and gladly shared those funds with local party organizations. Our Pinal County PCs are well organized for boots-on-the-ground GOTV work, and with slate cards customized for each local area, designed and delivered by us but paid for by AZGOP, we reached twice as many voters as we have ever done in the past.

"All these efforts produced fantastic results in Pinal County, winning every contested race in the county. I would love to see this fruitful collaboration continue, and I heartily endorse Robert Graham for re-election as AZGOP Chairman."
