Democrat AZ Rep Ann Kirkpatrick Votes to Continue White House Cover-Up of Benghazi

U.S. House passes bill to establish House Select Committee on Benghazi

It’s clear that Ann Kirkpatrick is not interested in uncovering the truth about the attack on our U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi on September 12, 2012. This marks Kirkpatrick’s latest vote against the interests of her district, state and country.

Despite Kirkpatrick’s “no” vote on Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed HR 567, establishing the House Select Committee on Benghazi. Kirkpatrick has repeatedly supported Nancy Pelosi’s left-wing agenda to obfuscate the truth about what happened in Benghazi. It is now clear that she is also part of the cover-up.

“The tragic 2012 attacks in Benghazi, which led to the deaths of four Americans, cannot and will not be swept under the rug,” said Andy Tobin. “It is critical that we pry the truth out of the Obama Administration’s grip so that we can pinpoint the failure of leadership and ensure that an attack like this never happens again. The American people have a right to know what happened. We have seen nothing but dishonesty and political spin from this Administration, further shaming the brave sacrifice made by Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.”

Tobin Continues, “Ann Kirkpatrick has continually voted against our seniors, our veterans and the best interest of Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. She has gone too far with her latest vote to aid Nancy Pelosi and the Obama Administration in their blatant cover up of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi. It matters how and why our diplomats were killed. I will never stop fighting to help uncover the truth about Benghazi.”

It's Andrew's Birthday

I am very excited to be celebrating my loving husband Andrew's birthday this weekend.  He will be turning 32 on Sunday (Mother's Day) and I'm looking forward to celebrating it with him and our family.

In addition to his birthday, we will be celebrating another milestone soon as we are coming up on our first wedding anniversary.  I really want to get Andrew something special, but I need your help.

I know what Andrew wants most for this birthday - to defeat Kyrsten Sinema and put an end to her liberal agenda.  Could you please help me celebrate his birthday by contributing $32.00 towards his present?  Every dollar you contribute helps make his birthday wish a reality and ensures we have the resources to win!

Sincerely,

Inning

Attorney General Tom Horne, Dismantling Drug Cartels

Tom Horne - Attorney General

Dismantling Drug Cartels
Protecting you and your family is my top priority. Whether it's protecting you from consumer fraud, or the drug cartels that threaten our way of life, I will put protecting you, your family and our country first. When I took office, I greatly increased the budget for working with federal and local law enforcement to dismantle drug cartels. Here are a few examples:

Mexican Sinaloa Cartel
  • Arrested 21 suspected members of a drug trafficking organization working on behalf of the Mexican sinaloa cartel. This operation effectively dismantled the organization that monopolized drug smuggling through the Tohono O'odham reservation on the border between Arizona and Mexico.
Cocaine Trafficking
  • Arrested 17 members of a large scale cocaine trafficking organization which had smuggled into the United States between 25 and 33 million dollars worth of cocaine. The operation dismantled a sophisticated and large scale cocaine smuggling enterprise which smuggled 35 kilograms of cocaine per day, 3 times per week, hidden in vehicles that entered through Nogales, Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, like clockwork. That operation is dismantled.
Operation Pipeline Express
  • Completed "Operation Pipeline Express," which involved the arrest of 76 individuals who smuggled more than 330 tons of illegal narcotics a year through Arizona's western desert, generating almost 2 billion dollars in elicit proceeds. It had produced such huge profits by having a virtual monopoly of smuggling drugs over an 80 mile section of Arizona's border with Mexico, from Yuma to Sells. It has been shut down.
Operation Crank Call
  • Arrested 217 people in connection with "Operation Crank Call," which dismantled another operation linked to the sinaloa cartel. 12 million dollars in illegal drugs and 7.8 million dollars in case were seized.
Operation Crystal Lake
  • In Operation Crystal Lake, dismantled a large scale, sophisticated drug trafficking organization that was operating in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The drug trafficking organization was receiving hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine from sources in Mexico and then distributing the drugs throughout Phoenix and beyond. During the course of the investigation, law enforcement agents seized 125 pounds of methamphetamine, 90 pounds of cocaine, hundreds of pounds of marijuana and hash and numerous firearms.

we need answers-Andy Tobin AZ Candidate US Congress

It's no surprise that Democrats are attacking me. They will do everything they can to shut down anyone who seeks the truth about Benghazi. For 20 months, Democrats like Ann Kirkpatrick, Nancy Pelosi and those in the White House have done everything possible to hide the truth about Benghazi. Now, we may finally start getting to the bottom of this scandal--but no thanks to Ann Kirkpatrick. Where is her outrage? Where is her courage to stand up to this Administration?!

Just as disappointing is when Republicans, like one of my primary opponents, are so quick to cave and take up the cause of left-wing Democrats. Rather than attacking me, the right thing to do is join me in fighting back.

Look, I've been here before. I'm the only battle-tested conservative in this race and I will never shrink from fighting for what’s right.

Please visit my website to find out how you can help me stand up to Democrats and the liberal media.

Thanks!

The 4-month sprint

Last time I wrote you, I said the campaign had launched our first TV ad and that the public phase of the campaign has begun in earnest.
It has, and the response has been terrific.  The feedback I get out on the campaign trail is really encouraging, and each day more and more people are signing up and joining the Ducey team.
Now that the legislature is adjourned, people are starting to focus on the governor’s race, including polls.  We recently did our first poll, and the data shows that almost 50% of Republican primary voters are undecided.  The field is crowded, no one is in a commanding position, and it’s likely to stay that way for awhile.
That’s why we decided to go on TV.  Thanks to your financial support we can afford to broadcast our message to a wider audience, and we're doing it.
We enter the summer with more supporters, more donors, more public endorsements, and more energy than anyone in the field.  The foundation is solid, and now we’re taking it to the next level.  We’re confident we have a winning strategy and we’re going to show that to all of Arizona this summer.
Please know that I’m as upbeat and as optimistic as I’ve ever been, and I hope you are as well.  Thanks for your continued support, and please be sure to visit our website to contribute or volunteer.
Thank you!

Doug

Fund the lists! Doug Ducey AZ Candidate For Governor

As you’ve likely heard me say before, parents need more choices when it comes to educating their children – one size does not always fit all. For many families, charter schools can be an ideal option, and their growing popularity can be seen in the daunting waiting lists at Arizona’s most successful and excelling charter schools.
One of my first priorities as governor will be to eliminate these waiting lists by providing the funding these schools need to include more students. And the need is growing. Just yesterday the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools announced that charter school waiting lists top more than one million names nationwide.
We must give more Arizona students the opportunity to attend these in-demand schools while also advancing reforms to apply the best practices of all high-performing public schools statewide.
More accountability. Higher standards and expectations. Funding classrooms and schools over districts. State and local control. These are all things we can and should have to make sure Arizona kids are ready for college or the workforce.
For a discussion on these issues, please join me for an education tele-townhallcall tonight at 7. I'll be hosting one Arizona's leading voices for educational excellence to chat about his insights on how to improve education in Arizona. Dial in at (855) 756-7520 Ext. 24735#. Again, it starts at 7 p.m.
Sincerely,

Doug

Shawnna Bolick Candidate AZ House District 28-Receives Endorsement from Ben Quayle

Shawnna Bolick Receives Endorsement from
Former Congressman Ben Quayle

Phoenix, AZ- May 7, 2014- Today, Shawnna Bolick, Republican candidate for Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 28, received the endorsement of former Congressman Ben Quayle.

“In politics, there are talkers and there are doers.  Shawnna is a doer and that is why I proudly endorse her candidacy for our legislative district.  I have seen Shawnna’s passion for education reform that will allow our students to reach their full potential.  She believes that all children should have access to a top notch education, because it is the key to a prosperous future.  This dedication was also evidenced when Shawnna successfully mobilized a broad coalition of parents at her son's school that resulted in tens of thousands of dollars for classroom grants.  Shawnna's keen ability to bring stakeholders together will be an enormous asset in our state legislature.  Arizona can lead into the 21st century, but we need to elect people like Shawnna to make that a reality.”

“It is an absolute pleasure to receive Mr. Quayle’s endorsement,” declared Bolick.  “Ben represented our Congressional district well during his brief tenure in DC.  After Ben was elected I worked with him and his office on issues that might affect charter school expansion and he came to the table prepared.  He truly understood the need for local autonomy and governance in our educational system. He also has a keen ear for small business needs and wasn’t afraid to take on President Obama.  We need more elected officials willing to protect the states from further federal overreach.”

Shawnna Bolick has lived in Legislative District 28 for 13 years.  Shawnna and her husband, Clint, have two children, Ryne (12) and Kali (9), plus their six year old rescued greyhound, Beary Goldwater, living in the shadows of Squaw Peak.

Common Sense Legislation for Arizona: Heather Carter AZ State Representative

With the Legislative Session behind us, I believe that we represented the interests of the majority of Arizonans while also moving our state forward. The surest way to ensure that we continue building Arizona up with increased economic development and job growth is to legislate with common sense, reading entire bills before voting on them, holding civil discourse, and considering them in the larger context of our state’s statutory direction.

Health Screening & Cancer Treatment

That is why I worked hard on getting the newborn screening and the cost-parity for cancer treatment bills passed. Newborns with congenital heart defects can now be diagnosed early when remedies can make the greatest impact. Cancer victims taking self-administered anticancer drugs will no longer pay a penalty for following what their doctors have decided is often the best course of treatment.

Suicide & Drug Abuse Prevention

I also worked hard to pass legislation that will allow teachers and school administrators to count suicide awareness and prevention classes as part of their required continuing education. This will help teachers and administrators to recognize, step in and make a difference in the lives of troubled youth. Preventing the abuse of dextromethorphan (DXM), which can act as a hallucinogen, was also of critical importance to me this session. By prohibiting the sale of DXM to those under 18, we are helping protect the lives of Arizona’s children so that they can become healthy, well-educated contributors to our economy.

Fixing Arizona’s Child Welfare System

One absolutely critical area affecting Arizona and our children is the overhaul of Child Protective Services. After the discovery of thousands of uninvestigated cases of alleged abuse or neglect, Governor Brewer acted decisively to remedy the situation. She quickly ensured that each case was reviewed with eyes on the child to determine what appropriate action needed to occur. The Governor disbanded CPS as it existed under the Department of Economic Security and formed a new agency reporting directly to the Governor’s office.

Now, we need to fund the new agency, and Gov. Brewer will call a Special Session of the Legislature solely to review this issue, determine new rules and regulations for the new agency, and to vote on adequate funding to ensure a tragedy like this never occurs again. I look forward to reviewing the work the Governor and her CARE Team have done to revamp our old system and reestablish it as a new entity with improved oversight, and also to push for adequate funding with a framework for responsible reporting.

If you believe, as I do, that rational, common-sense legislation is not only important, but is vital to building a strong, successful Arizona, I ask that you consider a gift of $25, $50 or $100 to help my campaign hit the ground running. I am facing a challenging primary season this year as my opponents have already begun to attack my long-standing record of using common sense and thoughtful consideration in making rational choices for the betterment of Arizona and its citizens. Please contribute today so that I can continue representing your interests!

Thank you.

coincidence? AZ Candidate For US Congress Andy Tobin

Twenty months after the terrorist attacks on Benghazi, which left four Americans dead, the White House is still covering up vital information about what happened that night. If you remember, Barack Obama was in the midst of campaigning for reelection. Coincidence?

Americans were not fooled then and, despite the Obama Administration’s best efforts, we are still not fooled. Rep. Trey Gowdy being named to lead the House Select Committee on Benghazi is a very encouraging development.

Arizona’s 1st Congressional District needs a battle-tested representative in Congress who will faithfully represent your voice, who will fight for your conservative values and who will always seek to uncover the truth.

Thanks!

Andrew Walter Candidate For Congress:This is disappointing and disgusting

Andrew Walter Calls of Sinema to Apologize and Refund Contributions Made at Expense of Veterans' Lives
PHOENIX - Andrew Walter, Republican candidate for Congress in AZ-09, called for Democratic Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema to refund contributions collected in response to an email relating to the deaths of up to 40 Veterans due to wait times at the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  Regarding the email, Walter stated “This is the ugliest display of political opportunism I have witnessed in a very long time.  I am disgusted that Congresswoman Sinema thinks it’s appropriate to use the tragic and avoidable loss of Veterans’ lives as a tool to fundraise for her reelection.”

The email which Walter referred to was sent by Kyrsten Sinema and included tools for capturing contact information and donating to her campaign to “help veterans and their families get the answers they deserve.”
Walter continued by saying:
Seeking to further one’s political ambitions by using tragedy and heartbreak is not leadership, it’s revealing of a selfish mindset.  Arizonans are tired of this type of behavior.  I’m calling on Kyrsten Sinema to apologize to the families who lost loved ones at the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  I’m also calling on Sinema to refund all the contributions collected from her email appeal and match the refunds with a donation to a charitable organization that serves Veterans, such as Veterans Tickets Foundation.

My heart goes out to the families of the veterans who tragically lost their lives due to the avoidable circumstances surrounding the Phoenix V.A. Hospital.  I’ve been carefully following the news regarding the investigation into the V.A. and I believe major crises like this should be handled with earnest resolve in a pursuit of truth.  Tragedies like the Phoenix V.A. Hospital should not be politicized, ever.”

Continue The Comeback: Randy Pullen For Arizona State Treasurer

I inherited a fiscal crisis unlike any other our state had experienced when I came to office in 2009. Since the outset I've said that doing the right thing usually means doing the hard thing. And with me every step of the way as I strived to keep that creed was my friend Randy Pullen. His support over the years has been invaluable and I am confident in his steadfast promise to ensure Arizona is on the right path.

We must entrust the job of Treasurer to someone with not only the skill set and credentials for the job, but also someone the voters trust to safeguard our hard-earned taxpayer dollars. In addition to authorizing over $30 billion a year in expenditures on behalf of Arizona State government, the Treasurer manages more than $12 billion of investments for the State, Counties and Municipalities. Randy’s background as a businessman -- a CPA, with an MBA in Finance -- makes him the most qualified person to lead the office of the Treasurer.

On top of his credentials, Randy also has a lifetime record of fighting to preserve our liberty, being an adamant defender of our Constitutional rights and protecting jobs, votes, and the border in Arizona.

I am happy to call Randy a friend and have been honored to have his support while leading Arizona's comeback.  As Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party from 2007 to 2011 as well as Treasurer of the Republican National Committee from 2009 to 2011, Randy exhibited true leadership, leading them to a statewide sweep in 2010.
I know Randy will bring passion and tenacity to the Treasurer’s office and a renewed sense of innovation and stewardship to our state’s finances, just like he led Republicans to victory through perseverance and hard work.

I would be deeply honored if you would support my dear friend Randy’s campaign. Just as you have stood by me and fought during the state’s turnaround, I  hope you will do the same now by joining me in supporting Randy Pullen for State Treasurer.

Sincerely,

Governor Janice K. Brewer
State of Arizona

Navajo County Supervisor David Tenney Endorses Andy Tobin For AZ US Congress

For Immediate Release:
Navajo County Supervisor David Tenney Endorses Andy Tobin
Andy Tobin is the conservative that rural Arizona needs...

Navajo County support continues to rally behind Andy Tobin with Navajo County Supervisor David Tenney’s endorsement today. Tobin has long been a fierce advocate for rural community roads, fire safety, water rights and economic development.

"Andy Tobin is the conservative leader that rural Arizona needs to fight for our practical way of life," said Navajo County Supervisor David Tenney. "I have spent a lot of time working with Andy to fight for the issues that we care about here in Navajo County, and he has been a champion that gets things done. He has played a key part in the fight to restore much of the money that cities, towns and counties lost from our state’s Highway User Revenue Fund (HURF). As a rural lawmaker he knows that those funds make all the difference to maintaining roads in Navajo County. Andy also understands that Arizona relies heavily on the ability of forest industries to have access to our forests to restore their health, create jobs, reduce threats to our communities, supply clean water, and improve recreation and tourism. He understands that to fuel the rural business of Arizona and to protect our communities from disastrous wildfires, the federal government must use taxpayer resources wisely, and accelerate the success of forest restoration that has taken place in Arizona during the last ten years. Andy has lived in and fought for Arizona since he brought his family here over 30 years ago. He knows rural Arizona, and that is why I endorse Andy Tobin for Congress in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District."

"Supervisor Tenney is a powerhouse conservative advocate for Navajo County," said Tobin. "Communities from Kayenta and Holbrook to Show Low have been positively impacted by our relentless fight to restore HURF money. We need to get the EPA off the backs of rural communities who power our state and provide our water. I sincerely thank Supervisor Tenney for his support. Having him on my team will go a long way in Navajo County."

Light at the end of the tunnel:AZ Senator Jeff Flake

When I arrived in Congress in 2001, my goals were simple: cut spending and shrink the size of government. I felt it was important to shine a light on the most egregious examples of pork and those who supported them, regardless of whether the big-spenders were Democrats or Republicans. From small stuff like federal funding for an indoor rainforest in Iowa to the billions in President Obama's pork laden 2009 stimulus package, I've tried to stop Washington's continued quest for expanding government and wasting your money.

We've had some successes. For example, we now have a moratorium on earmarks. But we're still spending far too much money.

When I decided to run for U.S. Senate, I said that I'd to continue to shine a light on wasteful spending. We've all heard the egregious examples of the “Cornhusker Kickback” and “Louisiana Purchase” that were used to pass Obamacare. It was my goal to stop these Senate deals, or at least spotlight them for public ridicule.

Because individual appropriations bill rarely come to the Senate floor, cutting spending and shrinking government in the Senate is a more challenging pursuit. With the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate and President Obama's spending priorities, we're playing defense and working with the House to cut where we can and shine a light on the shameful deficits and ballooning debt.

But there's light at the end of the tunnel…. JeffFlake.com
