Arizona Governor Brewer Endorses Kat Brophy McGee's Reelection

I am pleased and proud to announce the endorsement of Governor Jan Brewer. Governor Brewer and I have worked together for four years to build consensus in the legislature to tackle Arizona’s most pressing issues including; healthcare reform, economic recovery, and most recently, creating the Department of Child Safety. Governor Brewer is the hallmark of effective, conservative leadership and working with her to build the Arizona we love has been a great privilege.  I am honored to have her support.
“Over the past four years I’ve worked closely with Representative Brophy McGee on several signature pieces of legislation.  Those efforts have benefited hundreds of thousands of Arizona’s most vulnerable citizens.  Kate has always been an inspired voice and true advocate for Arizona’s children, whether through prioritizing education or sponsoring landmark legislation that created our new Department of Child Safety. Above all, it is Kate’s dedication, and her commitment to Arizona, that make her the strong, principled leader we need in the House of Representatives.”

- Governor Jan Brewer

Former AZ U.S. Congressman John Shadegg Endorses Kate Brophy McGee

I am pleased and proud to announce former eight-term U.S. Congressman John Shadegg has endorsed my campaign for Arizona House of Representatives. Congressman Shadegg represented north and central Phoenix during his sixteen years in office. He fought for lower taxes, limited government and health care reform.  I am honored to earn his recognition and grateful for his support for my campaign.

“I’ve admired Kate Brophy McGee’s career in public service going back to her days on the Washington Elementary School Board.  Kate’s deep roots and love of Arizona have made her one of the most effective, results-driven members of the Arizona Legislature.  She has continually provided conservative solutions that work for Arizona.”

- Former U.S. Congressman John Shadegg

Former AZ Governor Jane Dee Hull Endorses Kate Brophy McGee

I am proud to announce former Arizona Governor Jane Dee Hull has endorsed my reelection for Arizona House.  Governor Hull is a trailblazer and a role model for women in Arizona politics.  She was not afraid to reach out and always put Arizona’s interests ahead of partisan politics.  Governor Hull has an enduring legacy and it is a tremendous honor to earn her endorsement.

"I live in Kate’s district and her constituents couldn’t ask for a more dedicated, thoughtful and accessible representative.  Kate’s work on behalf of children and seniors has separated her from other lawmakers.  She has proven time and time again she is capable at solving Arizona’s toughest issues with low-cost, private sector driven solutions.  Please join me in supporting Kate in her reelection for LD28 House.”

- Former Governor Jane Dee Hull

Bob Worsley AZ State Senate Candidate Endorsed by Mitt Romney

An incredible honor to have Mitt Romney endorse my campaign and vision for Arizona!
“I am proud to support Bob Worsley for Arizona State Senate. Arizona needs the conservative leadership and experience Bob possesses. As an entrepreneur, Bob was a job creator; as a State Senator, he cuts through the rhetoric and focuses on solutions. I hope Arizonans will join me in supporting Bob Worsley for State Senate.”

ABOUT BOB WORSLEY - Bob Worsley is the creator of SkyMall catalogue and the incumbent State Senator for Arizona’s 25th legislative district. He and his wife Christi have 6 children and 22 grandchildren

Arizona-Three Maricopa County Officials Endorse Heather Carter For Re-Election

I am honored to earn the endorsements of three outstanding Maricopa County officials; Supervisor Steve Chucri, Supervisor Andy Kunasek and County Superintendent Don Covey.  Supervisor Kunasek and Supervisor Chucri have been critical to the economic recovery and responsible stewards of our tax dollars.  Superintendent Covey has led Maricopa County to two milestone achievement awards this year and is nationally recognized as a leader of responsible education reforms.  I will continue to work with these great community innovators to positively reform education policy, ensure responsible spending practices, and protect all Arizona families.

“Heather Carter has played an important role in Arizona becoming one of the mostbusiness friendly states. She believes in and is passionate about eliminating burdensome regulations and fostering a pro-business environment so small businesses can succeed. I am happy to support her reelection.”

- Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Chucri

“Heather Carter has become one of the most respected leaders in the Legislature over the last four years.  She has supported conservative economic growth policies, including lower taxes and fiscal responsibility.  Heather is an intelligent, dedicated and results-oriented representative whose proven record of protecting taxpayers should return her to the Capitol.  I support Heather Carter.”

- Maricopa County Supervisor Andy Kunasek

“Heather Carter is an outstanding, conservative principle based leader, and an extraordinary leader and spokesperson for true ‘Re-engineering Arizona K-12 Public School Education’. Her goals are tied to broader public and private interests affecting education, political, social and economic issues that will ensure a highly productive and robust Arizona economy and future.”

- Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools Don Covey

AZ Republic – Reagan has acted like Secretary of State for years

The AZ Republic has endorsed my campaign for Secretary of State.  In fact, they said “it was an easy call”.  Please read their endorsement here.
Reagan has acted like secretary of state for years

Editorial board, The Republic | azcentral.com
Our View: State Sen. Michele Reagan has a long track record of election-law reform, which best prepares her for this office.

The traditional duties of an Arizona secretary of state, such as keeping essential records and overseeing elections, seem so quaint these days. So anachronistic.

Election-related duties are more tied now to hot-button political issues pitting the interests of the parties against each other.

Keeping a list of voters who automatically receive early ballots, for example, once may have been an apolitical housekeeping matter.

But don't tell that to the Republicans and Democrats fighting over whether to cleanse the list of people who don't vote early.

Likewise, the secretary of state is at the center of the debate over "dark money," the money spent by all-but-anonymous organizations.

The office should be an honest broker for developing policies to bring transparency to such groups. Again, that has become a fierce partisan battle that can compromise the office if the elected secretary of state lets it.

And then there is a history of Arizona secretaries of state ascending unexpectedly to the governor's office. That is a consideration when weighing whom voters should favor.

In the Republican primary race for secretary of state, one candidate is well suited for the job under these modern-day qualifications. Another may have the intellectual chops to grow into the job. A third does not belong in the race.

The top-rung candidate of the three Republicans vying to be secretary of state is Michele Reagan.

It is an easy call.

Mark Brnovich Endorsed by the Arizona Republic For AZ Attorney General

Arizona Republic Endorses Mark Brnovich for Attorney General

"Choose Mark Brnovich or lose in November"
Today, the Arizona Republic endorsed Republican challenger Mark Brnovich in the Attorney General primary. Read their endorsement below:
Democrats are salivating at the thought of running against the very damaged and oddly unrepentant Mr. Horne.
GOP primary voters can deny them the chance.
Mark Brnovich stepped up to give Republican primary voters the option of an untarnished candidate in the November election.
He's got conservative credentials as the former director of the Goldwater Institute's Center for Constitutional Government. Brnovich is also a former prosecutor and former director of the Arizona Department of Gaming.

Gov. Jan Brewer is among Republicans who have endorsed Brnovich, as is Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery.
If Republicans want to hold this office in November, their best chance is to give Horne his pink slip now. Mark Brnovich should be embraced by GOP primary voters. He's your only hope.

Scott Smith for Arizona Governor Press Update

Scott Smith for Governor 2014
Believe it or not, there's only 6 days until early ballots go out to voters across Arizona! Mayor Scott Smith has had an awesome week, from his profile piece in the Arizona Republic to his radio appearances across Arizona to earning the support of two Maricopa County Supervisors. Don't believe those dark money polls being pushed by Doug Ducey's allies...the only independent poll in this race has Mayor Smith, Christine Jones and Doug Ducey all within 5 points of each other with over 35% of voters remaining undecided. And if a combined $4.5 million in paid media alone can't help Ducey and Jones pull away...

We Can and Must Do Better: Ken Bennett AZ Candidate For Governor-Video

Ken Bennett for Governor

The next Governor of Arizona must be prepared for the challenges they’ll face upon taking office in 2015.
Our economy remains fragile.  The southern border is not secure.  The state budget is not in balance, courts have said the state owes our schools millions and we don’t even own our state capitol building.  Needless to say, the state’s next chief executive will have their hands full. Without experienced leadership, the state’s financial situation could spiral out of control quickly.
As a 5th generation Arizonan, I've seen our state experience amazing growth.  For as long as I can remember, families and businesses have flocked to Arizona for the countless opportunities the Copper State has to offer.  But since the economic downturn, our state has struggled to regain its footing.  Thousands of people lost their jobs during the recession and we've only recovered about half of those jobs so far, lagging behind the rest of the country.
We can and must do better.
If our state is to return to the level of prosperity we enjoyed less than 10 years ago, we must be innovative and forward thinking in our approach.  We should consider bold ideas like gradual elimination of the state’s income tax, paying down state debt, enhancing public safety and doing our best to provide a quality education for our children.
Arizona has a great opportunity to position itself as the place where people choose to live and raise a family.  If we are to live up to our potential, we must select a leader who has the vision to move our state forward and the experience of working with the legislature to get the job done.

What's Coming Up:

Arizona Business Leaders Support Michele Reagan for Secretary of State

As a public servant, small businesses have been a priority of mine.  Some of my proudest accomplishments are reducing the regulations and fees they had to shoulder.  They are the backbone of our economy, representing over half of the U.S. workforce.  That is why it is with great pride I announce the following business leaders who are supporting my campaign for Secretary of State.
In recent decades, Arizona’s Governor has not finished his or her term for different reasons.  Our Secretary of State is next in line of succession since Arizona does not have a Lieutenant Governor.  It is important for the business community to pay close attention to this important race this year and support a strong candidate.
Michele Reagan served in the Arizona Senate and House of Representatives with great distinction.  She has been a tireless leader and supporter of the business community, education, economic development and, as importantly, stood strong in the face of extreme agendas.  No one else in the race has her proven track record.”

– Michael Bidwill, President Arizona Cardinals
Arizona needs a strong Secretary of State representing businessand elections, and Michele is the right person for the job.  As a member of the Legislative Commerce Committee, and as Chairwoman of the Senate Elections Committee, Michele has the necessary experience and is ready to stand for Arizona’s voters and businesses.

 – Don Smith, President and CEO Copper Point Mutual,     formerly SCF Arizona
"I had the pleasure of meeting with Michele Reagan as she stopped by my business to discuss her candidacy for Secretary of State. What I was most impressed about Michele is she listened to my thoughts on business as it relates to politics here in AZ. We talked small business to big business including her background operating a small business. Simply put she got me excited about what could be possible with leadership that understands from having 'been there'! I fully support Michele in her run for Secretary of State."
– Tom Hatten, President/Founder Mountainside Fitness
"In meeting with Senator Reagan I found a lawmaker who is focused on business and not partisan gridlock. Her experience as a former small business owner and legislator uniquely qualifies her for the Secretary of State position. Arizona needs more leaders like Michele Reagan."
- Matt Mandel, Vice President of SunFed

AZ U.S. Senator Jeff Flake Endorses Heather Carter For AZ House

In the last two weeks, I’ve been endorsed by Governor Jan Brewer, Phoenix Vice Mayor Jim Waring and Phoenix Council Members Thelda Williams and Bill Gates.  Today, I am honored to add U.S. Senator Jeff Flake to that list.  Senator Flake is one of the strongest fiscal conservatives in Washington D.C.  His attention to wasteful spending and fiscal responsibility have defined his career and will continue to do so.  He is a wonderful Senator for Arizona and it is a privilege to have his support.

"Heather Carter is a proven reformer who's guided by principle not politics.  LD 15 has been well-served by her tireless work ethic and attention to her constituents, and I'm proud to support her reelection to the Arizona House of Representatives."

– U.S. Senator Jeff Flake

AZ U.S. Senator Jeff Flake Endorsed Kate Brophy McGee's Reelection

I am proud to announce that U.S. Senator Jeff Flake has endorsed my reelection to the Arizona House.  Senator Flake noted my legislative work, including overhauling our child safety system and shining a light on the corrupt culture of the old CPS.  I’m so honored by Senator Flake’s endorsement.  He is well known for his work eliminating government waste and inefficiency, and we are fortunate to have him representing us in Washington.

"Transparency is one of the most effective tools we have to ensure government functions in the best interest of taxpayers.  Fortunately, Arizona has Kate Brophy McGee, who has made transparency a focus in her legislative work.  Kate's a committed public servant, and I am honored to support her campaign for reelection to the Arizona House of Representatives."

- U.S. Senator Jeff Flake

Three Phoenix City Council Members Endorsed Heather Carter's Campaign ~

Friends,

I am honored to announce the endorsements of three Phoenix City Council Members.  Vice Mayor Jim Waring, Councilman Bill Gates and Councilwoman Thelda Williams are supporting my reelection campaign.  They have all been incredible public servants and I look forward to continue working on public policy that moves our district, and Arizona, forward.

I endorsed Heather Carter this year because of her work on Veterans issues.  She received the United Veterans Copper Shield award for sponsoring legislation designed to provide veterans with high-paying jobs and additional health care options.  As a past recipient of the award, I really appreciate her focus on veterans and their quality of life.

- Vice Mayor Jim Waring

"Representative Heather Carter has quickly become a strongadvocate for her district. She is unafraid to take bold stands on important issues. She works hard at keeping Arizona a great place to live, work and play. She is a valuable asset to her district and Arizona. Please join me in supporting her for re-election."

- Councilman Bill Gates

Heather Carter’s sensible and intelligent approach to government has made her invaluable as an elected official.  Her ability to drive any issue to get results is unmatched.  I applaud Representative Carter for her commitment to public safety and veterans issues.  She has been recognized by multiple public safety organizations for her dedication and was responsible for extending health coverage to thousands of veterans.  Heather is a strong, pragmatic voice in the legislature and I am proud to endorse her campaign.”

- Councilwoman Thelda Williams

Please join Senator Jon Kyl Mark Brnovich For AZ Attorney General

Senator Jon Kyl Supports Mark Brnovich for Attorney General
Friends, early ballots will arrive in your mailbox in a little over one week. As we head down the home stretch I wanted to let you all know how grateful I am for your continued support.

I'm so blessed to have the support of conservative leaders like Governor Jan Brewer, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery, and former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl.

Senator Kyl is supporting me because he knows that State Attorneys General are the last line of defense against federal overreach. He knows that if Republicans don't nominate a candidate who represents our values and a candidate who can win this November, the office will fall into the hands of an Obama ally.

Will you join Senator Kyl in supporting me this August?

I am going to need a lot of financial support to win this race and I could use your help spreading the word.

Will you please consider donating online today? Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated. So many of you have already given so much and I'm asking for your help again today.

As Senator Kyl said, "Elections have consequences and we need to ensure the best ones for Arizona."

$5, $10, $25, $50 -- whatever you can give will go directly into my campaign. You can donate online, or mail checks to:

AZ REPRESENTATIVE PAUL BOYER ENDORSES JEFF DEWIT FOR STATE TREASURER

Phoenix - Jeff DeWit, CEO/Investment Professional and candidate for Arizona State Treasurer, announced today that Representative Paul Boyer (LD20) has endorsed his candidacy.
“Jeff DeWit has quite an impressive resume with over 20 years of experience as a CEO and Investment Professional. He is hands down the most qualified candidate for State Treasurer. Though Jeff is a newcomer to politics, his resume fits this position perfectly and with Jeff as our State Treasurer we can be assured that he’ll manage our state tax dollars wisely and focus on transparency for the taxpayer,” said Boyer.  “Please join me as I wholeheartedly support Jeff DeWit for State Treasurer.”
“I am honored to have Representative Boyer’s support for my campaign,” said DeWit. “Paul has been rated a ‘Hero of the Taxpayer’ by Americans for Prosperity, and previously been named ‘Best of the Capitol’ by Arizona Capitol Times. To earn the trust of Paul and those like him as a newcomer to politics is as humbling as it is energizing, and I look forward to rewarding that trust by my diligent efforts to safeguard Arizona taxpayer money.”

Shawnna Bolick Candidate For AZ House Receives Endorsement from U.S. Senator Jeff Flake

Phoenix, AZ- July 24, 2014- Today, Shawnna Bolick received the endorsement of U.S. Senator Jeff Flake.

“Shawnna Bolick has put in the extra shoe leather during her campaign, and that work ethic will serve Legislative District 28 well in the State Legislature,” declared U.S. Senator Flake.  “She's a conservative reformer who will put Arizona ahead of partisan politics, and I'm proud to endorse Shawnna Bolick for Arizona's House of Representatives.”

“I have long supported Senator Flake’s battle to end earmarks,” stated Bolick.  “Without his leadership, Congress would’ve never adopted the earmark moratorium a few years ago.  I also believe Flake’s fight to devolve the federal highway program back to the states is key to building more roads with less money, eliminating some of the unnecessary obstacles and bureaucratic red tape that impede progress.  I look forward to working with our Arizona delegation once elected.”

Shawnna Bolick has lived in Legislative District 28 for 13 years.  Shawnna and her husband, Clint, have two children, Ryne (12) and Kali (9), plus their six year old rescued greyhound, Beary Goldwater, live in the shadows of Squaw Peak.

Scott Smith for Governor 2014
I want to personally invite you to join me for an Education Conversation on July 29th. As the son of a lifelong District Superintendent, as a father and a grandfather, the importance of education is very clear to me. Bringing educators together to advise and lead efforts to improve our education system is of utmost importance.

Job creation will be my top priority as Governor, and as I noted in my Business Plan to Build a Better Arizona, there is no way to separate job creation and education. Our efforts to grow the Arizona economy require us to have an efficient, excellent education system. We can't improve one without improving the other.

I will soon launch our Education Plan, developed with inspiration and feedback from many of you. To those of you who have already reviewed the plan and provided input, thank you. It lays out a commitment to ensure every child, regardless of where they live or choose to attend school, receives an excellent education. It also outlines my top three priorities to achieve a world-class education system: great teachers, early readers and career readiness. I encourage you to join me in a conversation about the future of education in Arizona. Your insights and feedback are crucial and will enable us to Build a Better Arizona together!
Join us for an Education Conversation with candidates who are committed to ensuring educators are integrally involved in efforts to improve our education system:
