Leading Arizona Business Groups Endorse Mark
Brnovich for AG
Arizona Chamber of Commerce and NFIB: Brnovich best
bet to fight for Arizona
Today, the Mark Brnovich for Attorney General campaign is proud to be endorsed by two of Arizona’s largest and most premier business organizations: the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Arizona chapter of the National Federal of Independent Business (NFIB).
The significant show of business support is further evidence that leading Arizona employers believe Brnovich is the best choice to keep Arizona communities safe, fight federal overreach by the Obama administration and prosecute identity thieves, scam artists and others who target consumers and legitimate businesses alike. Brnovich is the only candidate in this race with extensive, frontline experience prosecuting and taking to trial both civil and criminal cases, including violent felonies.
“I am humbled and honored to receive the formal endorsements of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and National Federation of Independent Business,” Brnovich said. “I know private enterprise is the beating heart of our economy and, as Attorney General, I will fight tirelessly to ensure Arizona is a safe place for families to grow and businesses to thrive. I will push back against federal overregulation that threatens our economy and way of life, and aggressively prosecute criminals and scam artists who prey upon Arizona citizens, consumers and business owners.”
The Arizona Chamber of Commerce endorsed Brnovich following a rigorous interview process; Chamber endorsees must receive the backing of at least 65% of the Board membership, via a secret-ballot vote.
“Arizona needs an attorney general who will work to ensure that we have a regulatory and legal environment where business can thrive,” said Glenn Hamer, president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “That includes standing strong for Arizona when federal regulations could harm our state, especially from agencies like the EPA, whose overreach could have a devastating effect on Arizona’s economy if left unchecked. Mark Brnovich is the leader we need to be our next attorney general. He has the experience and know-how to lead the office, and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to endorse him.”
Just as impressive, Arizona’s leading advocacy group for small business – the NFIB – voted overwhelmingly to endorse Brnovich. This is the first time in more than a decade that the 7,000 Arizona small-business owners who comprise the NFIB have chosen to endorse a candidate for Attorney General. Among NFIB members who voted, 89 percent support Brnovich; just 11 percent chose his opponent.
“Arizona’s job creators trust Mark Brnovich to enforce the law and protect our communities,” said Farrell Quinlan, Arizona state director for the NFIB. “Arizona’s entrepreneurs are confident Mark Brnovich will foster a safe and secure environment and ensure a level playing field so our small businesses can thrive. As Arizona’s next Attorney General, Mark Brnovich will provide solid legal advice to state regulatory agencies in order to prevent overreach, regulatory bullying of small business owners and to ensure state agencies aren’t acting on bad or inaccurate legal advice.”
The formal endorsement was issued by the NFIB/Arizona Save America’s Free Enterprise (SAFE) Trust, the political action committee of NFIB members in Arizona.
