Arizona's Future is in Your Hands!

Ken Bennett for Governor
Arizona's future is in your hands!
In less than two weeks, a relatively small group of voters will likely select the next Governor of Arizona.  Will you be among those who will select our next leader?

Less than 150,000 early ballots have been returned and your vote will make the difference!  If you haven’t completed your early ballot yet, please fill it out and return it as soon as possible.  If you vote at the polls, click here to find out where you will cast your ballot.

The biggest threat to Arizona’s future is inexperienced leadership.  Our economy remains extremely fragile and we have numerous complex issues facing our state.  I’m the only candidate in the race who has combined a successful career in business with public service experience at the state, legislative AND local level.

Our campaign is about doing what is right for Arizona and forging a partnership with its people in order to bring about a brighter future for the Copper state.  Now, I need your help to change the direction of the state.

We are currently scheduling volunteers to help spread the word about my vision for Arizona.  I encourage those who are interested in helping contact us at info@bennettarizona.com or call our volunteer hotline (480) 277-4628 to receive a list of targeted voters. Together we can help secure a brighter future by ensuring that the next Governor of Arizona is one that is experienced, principled and doesn't require on the job training!

Don't Just Take Our Word For It...

Don't Just Take Our Word For It:

See What Conservative Leaders Across Arizona Are Saying About

Why They Support Hugh Hallman for State Treasurer
“Hugh Hallman is an honest man who will represent the people’s interest. Hugh is an active citizen who has been a tireless leader in shaping our state’s economy, improving our education system, and being involved in the political process. He shares the Goldwater commitment for financial stability and fiscal responsibility, finding solutions to our greatest fiscal problems and advocating on behalf of the people of Arizona.”
— Former Congressman Barry Goldwater Jr.

“I know first-hand the skill set it takes to perform the duties of a Treasurer: honesty, integrity, attention to detail, and fiscal responsibility.  There is only one person this election I would trust to manage the billions of dollars in the Treasurer’s office: Hugh Hallman.  As an economist and as a Mayor of Tempe, Hugh Hallman has demonstrated these traits. If you share my belief in honesty, integrity, and fiscal responsibility, then join me in voting for Hugh Hallman for State Treasurer."
— Former State Treasurer Dean Martin

“We need the kind of responsible, effective leadership Hugh Hallman will provide as State Treasurer,” Munsil said. “Hugh has shown through his work in Tempe and on regional issues that he truly understands the role of government and how to oversee taxpayer dollars in a responsible way.”
— Len Munsil, Former Republican gubernatorial candidate and conservative leader

These are the kinds of things conservative leaders across Arizona are saying about why they support Hugh Hallman for State Treasurer. A full list of endorsements is available at  www.hughhallman.com/endorsements.

NRA Endorsement ~ Heather Carter For Arizona House

Fellow Gun Supporters,

I am happy and proud to announce I have been endorsed by the NRA!  I have been a strong supporter of gun rights in Arizona and am honored to be recognized for my voting record.

Last session, the Arizona Legislature took up seven different gun bills.  I voted in support of all pro-gun measures and earned a perfect score from the Arizona Citizens Defense League.  This is the third year in a row I have earned a perfect score.

The 2nd Amendment is one of the most fundamental rights we have as United States citizens.  As long as I am your representative, you have my commitment to continue to stand-up for the rights of gun owners at the Arizona Capitol.

I hope to earn your vote in the Republican Primary.  Please remember to return your early ballot or vote on August 26.

Sincerely,

Rep. Heather Carter

Kate Brophy McKee's Endorsements from Maricopa County Board of Supervisors

Tuesday I was proud to announce the endorsements of the Hon. Barbara Leff and Hon. Betsey Bayless for my reelection to the Arizona House.  Today I am honored to announce the endorsement of Maricopa County Supervisors Steve Chucri and Andy Kunasek.  Supervisor Chucri, elected to the Board in 2012, is a champion of small business.  His clear and consistent conservative values and voice bring the great leadership Maricopa County voters expect.  Supervisor Kunasek, an outstanding role model of public service, has served on the Board since 1997.  His strength, vision and leadership have anchored the Board through difficult times, preserved the Board’s stability and set a path towards a strong economic recovery.  I am proud to be endorsed by these outstanding leaders and fellow public servants.
“As President of the Arizona Restaurant Association, I see how government overregulation stifles the success of small business owners.  Fortunately, we have strong business-experienced leaders in our legislature like Kate Brophy McGee. Kate has worked to make small businesses prosper and continue to be the backbone of Arizona's economy.  She has been a hardworking, independent voice for the business community and I am proud to endorse her reelection.”

- Supervisor Steve Chucri

“I have admired the great work Kate has done since she arrived at the Capitol four years ago. I applaud her successful efforts to bring transparency and fiscal accountability to state government.  Kate made tough policy decisions to achieve a balanced state budget.  Going forward, she will support legislation to keep Arizona economically competitive.  She is my representative and I'm voting for her.  Please join me!”

Women with enduring Arizona legacies endorse Kate Brophy McGee

I am pleased and proud to announce endorsements from women with enduring legacies in Arizona politics – Hon. Betsey Bayless and Hon. Barbara Leff.  Both women had distinguished and admirable careers in Arizona politics championing issues such as education, healthcare and fiscal responsibility.  I am happy to call them friends and honored to earn their endorsements.

“As a public servant for over 40 years, I understand it takes balance to distinguish between want versus need, prudent investment versus wasteful expenditure.  Kate Brophy McGee has proven as a lawmaker she understands that balance.  Her ability to support competitive tax policies while investing in Arizona’s future demonstrates true leadership.  Arizona is on better financial footing since Kate took office and I am honored to support her reelection.”

- Former Secretary of State Betsey Bayless

“State Representative Kate Brophy McGee works hard for District 28.  She has been a consistent voice for quality healthcare and economic development. She is a strong supporter of our schools and a leader in reforming Child Protective Services. Her office is known to provide excellent constituent services.  To Kate, the legislature is not a part time job.  She works year round for the benefit of our district and our State.  I am proud to endorse her re-election.”

- Former State Senator Barbara Leff

Mary Hamway-What will they think of next?

Elect Mary Hamway
And the hits keep coming. Dark money continues to poor in against me in my bid for the Arizona House. This is now the fourth dark money mailer with outright lies and distortions, and at this point these smears are becoming laughable. I mean, what will they think of next?

The negative mailer today came from the same group that recently sent a positive mailer to voters about my opponent. It is unfortunate that my opponent continues hiding behind dark money instead of focusing on the issues that will move our state forward.

I am proud of my record of cutting spending, reducing the size of government and making government more efficient and accountable. I am proud to have the support of Governor Jan Brewer and many other current and former Republican elected officials in District 28.

During my time on the Paradise Valley Town Council, we found practical solutions for the betterment of our Town without the divisive political rhetoric seen in a lot of today's policy debates. I will take the same leadership style to the State Capitol.

These smear tactics will continue so I ask that you see through them and vote for me Mary Hamway.Mary Hamway web page

AZ Rep Kyrsten Sinema has no credibility on VA Issue

Andrew Walter Releases Statement On Kyrsten Sinema And The VA
Andrew Walter, candidate for Congress in Arizona’s 9th district, released a statement on Kyrsten Sinema meeting with Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald.

"Kyrsten Sinema has zero credibility when it comes to fixing our VA system. Not only has she blatantly fundraised off this terrible tragedy, she advocated entering all Americans into the very same VA-style healthcare system that is so broken. It’s time for someone in Washington who sees a scandal and seeks solutions, not another excuse to fundraise. I’m running to provide a real voice in Washington for reforming the care our brave veterans receive when they return home. They deserve no less than the best."

About Andrew Walter
Andrew Walter is a native Arizonan and starred at quarterback for Arizona State University (ASU) where he earned a BA in Communications.  Andrew was selected in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders and finished his career with the New England Patriots.  Following his professional sports career Andrew earned his MBA from ASU, with an emphasis in finance.  Andrew has had great success in the private sector as the Principal of Andrew Walter Holdings, a senior secured lending firm, and as a credit analyst for MidFirst Bank.F

“I applaud this merger, which will be a boon for customers in Southern and Northern Arizona,” said Chairman Bob Stump. “It will improve access to capital on more favorable terms and benefit ratepayers, in the process.”

According to the settlement agreement, the merger is expected to balance the interests of the company and its customers and provide substantial benefits to the public such as providing $30 million of direct customer benefits over 5 years, through bill credits of $10 million payable in year one, and $5 million per year payable in years 2 – 5.

Brenda Burns Endorses Mark Brnovich for AZ Attorney General

Conservative Leader Brenda Burns Endorses Mark Brnovich

for Attorney General

Today, Republican candidate for Attorney General Mark Brnovich received the endorsement of current Arizona Corporation Commissioner and former Arizona Senate President Brenda Burns. Commissioner Burns remarked:

“During my 16 years in the Arizona State Legislature, I often fought the overreach of the federal government.  As an elected member of the Corporation Commission, I have seen how federal government policies have raised rates for water and electricity in Arizona. We need an Attorney General that will protect our state's rights. Mark Brnovich will stand up to the burdensome EPA. He did a great job as Director of the Center for Constitutional Government at the Goldwater Institute, an organization that I consider to be a valuable voice in Arizona.”

Burns continued:

“Mark's experience as an Army JAG, Maricopa County prosecutor and Assistant United States Attorney make him eminently qualified to be Arizona's Attorney General. I enthusiastically endorse his candidacy."

As an owner/manager of a family business, Brenda learned firsthand the impact that laws, rules and regulations can have on any small businesses’ ability to create jobs and succeed. Brenda Burns’ business experience was invaluable when she began her distinguished career of representing Arizonans. She served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1987 to 1995. In 1993, House Republicans elected Brenda to be their majority leader, making her the first Arizona woman to hold the position. Brenda served eight years in the Arizona State Senate, from 1995 to 2003. In 1997, she became the first Arizona woman to be elected Arizona Senate President.

Mark Brnovich remarked:

“Brenda understands what serving the people of Arizona truly means. She knows firsthand the crippling effect the federal government can have on businesses and the private sector. As Attorney General, I will be diligent in my efforts to fight back against job-killing policies and defend Arizona and the Tenth Amendment.”

Andy Tobin Proud to have the Chamber's endorsement...for US Congress

The Tobin for Congress campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of the United States Chamber of Commerce

I’m a small business owner who has devoted my life to positively affecting our community through job creation, public service and advocating for conservative principles.
I am honored to have the endorsement of the United States Chamber of Commerce, an organization that has been on the front lines fighting for energy independence, reducing burdensome regulations and creating jobs.
The Chamber of Commerce and I stand shoulder to shoulder with small businesses all across Arizona, who have been burdened by Obamacare mandates that have increased healthcare premiums and kicked people off their healthcare plans. It’s time to send someone to Washington who will fight President Obama and Ann Kirkpatrick’s reckless agenda.
The past six years while serving in the Arizona Legislature, I’ve saved Arizona taxpayers millions of dollars and lead the fight to stop the implementation of the disastrous ObamaCare.
During my time in the Arizona House of Representatives, I drastically cut government, balanced Arizona's budget and worked to pass the largest tax cuts in Arizona's history.

The Chamber has always been dedicated to working together to improve and secure a pro-business environment throughout Arizona.  I am honored to work along side of them in this important effort.

Rob Engstrom, national political director for the US Chamber shared, “The U.S. Chamber is proud to stand with our local business partners to endorse Andy Tobin for Congress in Arizona’s first congressional district. Andy has a demonstrated record of fighting for policies that promote jobs in Arizona and presents the clearest contrast between Ann Kirkpatrick’s failed record on economic issues.”

Engstrom continued, “Andy led the state’s fight against Obamacare, championed regulatory reform and domestic energy production and balanced the budget. That’s the type of leadership we need in Washington and we’re proud to stand with him.”

This endorsement adds to the growing number of individuals and organizations who are supporting Andy Tobin’s campaign for congress, they include: Governor Mitt Romney, Former Senator Jon Kyl, Former Congressman John Shadegg, Arizona Police Association, Arizona Right to Life, State Senator Frank Antenori, and four county sheriffs, among others.
I need your vote on August 26th, please vote early if you can!
Together, we’ll bring Arizona conservatism to Washington and please consider a donation today.
Thank You and God Bless,

HALLMAN AND PULLEN SUPPORTED TAX INCREASES AND THE OBAMACARE MEDICAID EXPANSION

Banner
Phoenix - Jeff DeWit, CEO/Investment Professional and candidate for Arizona State Treasurer, applauds the Arizona Republic for acknowledging the accuracy of his statement that both Hallman and Pullen have supported tax increases.
BOTTOM LINE: DeWit is accurate in saying Pullen and Hallman supported tax increases.” and “Both have… supported the expansion of medicaid under the law.”
-Arizona Republic, Sunday August 10th, 2014

“As I have said from day one of my campaign, I am running to represent all Arizona voters and to protect their tax dollars.  The first step in this is being honest about bad policies,” said DeWit.

The recent fact check done by the Arizona Republic was a two-part check on statements DeWit made during the Politics Unplugged televised Treasurer’s debate.  The first point was that his opponents, Hallman and Pullen, supported tax increases, which was proven to be correct.

On the second point, the Republic said that while Pullen and Hallman support the expansion of Medicaid under Obamacare and that “Medicaid expansion and the Affordable Care Act are related,” that it may be a stretch to say they support Obamacare in general.

But the Medicaid expansion, which they both favored, and Pullen championed, is an integral part of Obamacare.  Title II, Subtitle A, Section 2001 of the Affordable Care shows that the expansion is a critical part of its implementation.  And by supporting Obamacare through the expansion, it has opened our state up to the shackles of the Federal Government involving itself in our health care system.

“We have all heard the horror stories of the impact that Obamacare is having on the American people. In the long run this is not good for Arizona and will put a financial burden on the people of Arizona,” said DeWit.
