Mary Hamway: Primary Election Results

Elect Mary Hamway
The voters of LD 28 have spoken and while the outcome is not what I had hoped for, this campaign has been an amazing adventure for me. I've learned more than I could have imagined about our state and our district and made countless new friends.

It is the friends, old and new, who helped me get into and run this race and gave me the much-needed support and encouragement throughout this primary election. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I congratulate Kate Brophy McGee on her big win and I look forward to her continued responsible leadership at the State Capitol.

As for myself, I plan to take some time to reconnect with my family and close friends, and I look forward to finding other ways to contribute to the state we love.

My sincerest thanks again.

Mary Hamway.

We did it!Mark Brnovich AZ AG Candidate

We did it!

When I got into the race for Arizona Attorney General nearly a year ago, many of the political “experts” said it was a lost cause. Statewide incumbents simply can’t be beaten in the Primary Election, the pundits said.

So, I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished TOGETHER this week when nearly a quarter-million fellow Arizonans joined this campaign in saying we deserve better from our Attorney General. Together, we toppled the incumbent and now march toward the General Election on November 4th.

I couldn't have done it without you. First, I want to thank my family, friends, and everyone who believed in this campaign over the course of the past 11 months. I have been truly humbled by your words of encouragement, financial donations, and – most important – votes of support.

Our work is not done. The General Election is less than 70 days away; early voting begins October 9th, and I am facing a well-funded, liberal Democrat whose attack machine is already in motion.

My campaign is bracing for an onslaught of outside money from the likes of billionaire George Soros and ultra-leftwing groups. They want to take me down and install one of their own as Attorney General of Arizona. I need your help.

There are many important races this election cycle, including for Governor. But the stark reality is it may not matter much who our next governor is if we don’t have an Attorney General who’ll enforce the law.

With the Obama administration running roughshod over the Constitution, suing the State of Arizona at will, and taking unprecedented executive actions that threaten our economy and border security, we can’t afford an Attorney General who’ll be a rubberstamp for the far Left.

Unlike my liberal opponent, I’ll fight back against Barack Obama. I’ll defend Arizona against the drug cartels, gang members and criminals who target our families - just as I did in my career as a state and local prosecutor.

The stakes for this election are too high to allow Democrats to seize control of the Attorney General’s Office, giving Barack Obama a direct pipeline into Arizona during the final two years of his presidency.

Since day one, my pledge to you has been to restore integrity to the Office of the Attorney General, and to fight for all Arizonans. I won't let you down.

Thank You-Jeff Schwartz LD23

Thank you.  While the results of Tuesday's election were not as we had hoped, the experience of campaigning  with the support of old friends and new ones made along the way made every minute worth it.  Although 12,942 voters (and still counting!) in LD23 cast their vote for me, I fell short of securing the Republican nomination for State Senate. Regardless of the outcome, I want to tell you how thrilling it was to run this race. The opportunity to serve the constituents of this Legislative District was what propelled me to fight the good fight, and I can proudly say that I gave it my all.

The most important thing I have learned from this election is that having a voice and being engaged are both fundamental and essential in order to obtain a positive future for our community. I commit to you that I am not done. I strongly encourage all of you that found your voices this election season, to continue on the path of engagement. Our community needs each and every one of us to be informed and educated about the issues that impact our state, and what impacts the state truly impacts the nation.

Your voice, your vote, is important. I thank you each and every one of you.  I am incredibly humbled by your belief in me, and that trust is something I will always treasure. Please join me in supporting Doug Ducey for Governor and the Republican team.

Let's continue to fight the good fight together, as our story is not yet done!

Respectfully,

Jeff Schwartz

Arizona LD23 Congratulations are in order!

Congratulations are in order!
We in LD23 had a great night on Tuesday.  Two of our PCs were elected to represent the Republican Party in the General election:
Senator Michele Reagan won the Primary race for Secretary of State.
Doug Little, our former Chairman, won a spot in the General election for Arizona Corporation Commission.
And in our Legislative District elections, Rep. John Kavanagh won the Republican Primary for the Arizona State Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Reagan.
These candidates will enjoy our full support in the General election to be sure they win their seats against the Democrats.
Also, outright winners for Arizona House of Representatives are Michelle Ugenti and probably Jay Lawrence, who is running ahead of his nearest competitor by just less than 900 votes.
These outcomes will be certified by September 8th.
Congratulations to all of these candidates.
We also honor all those who ran for public office from our district.  It's not easy and it is appreciated that good people are willing to put themselves out there to run for office.

Ken Bennett Thank You

To our loyal supporters,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the long hours of support you have given to me personally and this campaign. I am proud of the work we’ve done, and am overwhelmed with the sheer volume of people who have reached out to us throughout this campaign.

It has been one of the highest honors of my life to serve the citizens of Arizona. This has always been, and will always be, my home.

I’ll be returning to the private sector for a while, and probably need to take my wife and family on a long overdue vacation. Many are asking me about my future as a statesman, and for now I’ll just say that with the struggles we as a state are facing, I am prayerfully considering future service.

My deepest thanks to friends, family, and supporters all around the state.

People, not Politics.

Wow! Thank You! Linda Milhaven Scottsdale City Council

WOW!  Thank you! I am pleased and honored to have earned your overwhelming support in the primary election.  Thanks to you, I came in first in the field of eight candidates and narrowly missed being elected outright.  Thank you!

Your support is affirming and inspiring.  Friends ask me why I want to serve on City Council, given the sometimes uncivil dialogue and personal attacks.  I do it because I care.  I want to ensure that we continue to respond to the changing world around us while keeping Scottsdale special.

Thanks to your support, I will continue to work to build a positive and prosperous future for Scottsdale.  The General Election will be equally challenging and I will count on your support November 4th.

Thank you!

Team Reagan Prevails!

On Tuesday, we secured the Republican nomination for Secretary of State and move on to face perennial statewide candidate Terry Goddard.  We must defeat him - which is why I am asking you to contribute 100 dollars to my campaign today.  Any contribution received will help to buy more television advertising, mailers, and yard signs.  I can’t do this without your help.

Although we are a red state and every major statewide office is occupied by Republicans, this campaign will not be a cakewalk.  Which is why our campaign needs your contribution today! The primary election was grueling and depleted our resources and now it is time to restock and defeat my democratic opponent.

Arizona needs a Secretary of State who will bring more transparency and accountability to our elections. As Chair of the Senate Elections Committee, I worked tirelessly to make our elections more efficient. I fought to keep our voter ID laws in this state.  All of this will be undone if my Democrat opponent wins. Help me make sure that does not happen with a contribution to our campaign.

The real fight is just beginning and with your generous contribution I know we will be victorious in November!

Sincerely,

Michele

Frank Riggs: A Special Thanks to Our Wonderful Friends and Supporters!

Frank Riggs for Governor
Cathy and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your involvement and help in my gubernatorial campaign. We're forever indebted to you for your trust and support, and most importantly, for your friendship. I did my utmost to uphold the confidence you placed in me. As the saying goes, "Greatness is not measured by money or stature; it's measured by courage and heart!," and we gave the campaign our all.

Obviously, my reach exceeded my grasp but I think I helped raise the bar in the race. I hope you agree that I articulated a plan to move Arizona forward based on conservative solutions, constitutionally limited government and free market principles while avoiding the mudslinging and third-party attacks that unfortunately have come to characterize our politics. We ran a campaign of principle and stayed true to who we are and the values we share with you.

In closing, I want to share my favorite political quote which, along with your support, inspired and motivated me throughout our campaign:

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, To win glorious triumphs, Even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
-Theodore Roosevelt (1899)
The last eight months have been an incredible journey...a journey in faith. We have been so blessed to make this journey with you, to see the incredible beauty of our state and the potential of its people. But the greatest blessing has been the opportunity to renew old friendships and make new friendships that Cathy and I will always treasure. We know from experience, the politics eventually end but true friendships endure.

With deepest appreciation and best wishes,

Frank and Cathy

Kate Brophy McGee Looking forward to November

Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you for all your help and support during the Primary campaign.  I am deeply honored and humbled by the outcome Tuesday night.

This success would not have happened without you! From hosting neighborhood meet and greets, to door knocking and phone banking and a really successful yard sign adoption campaign, we covered our district end to end.  This victory was due to your dedication and commitment and I am truly blessed to have such wonderful supporters.

As we head into the General Election, I hope I can count on your support once more.  I have a deep, unshakable faith in Arizona – in our families, businesses and communities – and am committed to continuing to work hard on your behalf to build an Arizona our children and grandchildren will call home.

On to victory!

Kate

Thank you for your continued support!

As you may know, the results in our Legislative District 28 House race remain very close:  I trail Mary Hamway by 7 votes, or .03 percent, out of tens of thousands of votes cast.  More votes may remain to be counted and a recount is all but certain.

I congratulate Representative Kate Brophy McGee for her renomination and Mary Hamway for a strong campaign.  When the voters' decision is known, either Mary or I will carry the Republican banner to victory this November.

Thank you once again for your support and for all you do. I hope to have your support if the final votes go our way.  We have a terrific statewide ticket and I look forward to continuing our effort to preserve our precious freedoms.

Andy Tobin Arizona US Candidate Campaign Update

Tobin Leads, Confident of Victory

We find the latest results very encouraging and believe Andy will be the Republican nominee to take on Ann Kirkpatrick. Andy’s lead is now far outside the number of votes required to avoid a recount, and based on our projections, this lead will hold once any remaining votes are counted.

Thank you

In February, we launched our campaign promising to give our very best efforts, to run with heart and press on to the finish. Tonight, our best efforts brought us to victory.
Thank you for the confidence you've shown in me and for seeing me through the long contest that is now behind us.
I want every Republican voter to know that you are welcome in this campaign -- we need you, and I’m asking for your support.
We are not finished building this broad coalition.  And if you are ready to make Arizona the reforming, job-creating, welcoming place that we are meant to be, then I ask for your help, because this campaign is for you.
Every day, I will state my convictions and respect those of others.  I will run as I intend to serve.  I want to be governor for all the people, and in this campaign I will reach out to all Arizonans.
You have my word that as the Republican nominee I will keep giving this race the best that is in me, and I will earn the vote by showing the best that is in Arizona.
Thank you all very much,

Doug

Ken Bennett claim about school funding is true

THE FINDING:
Four Stars; TRUE

THE COMMENT: "As Senate President, Ken put more new money ($640 million) into K-12 education than ever before in state history."
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT: Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Bennett said that while serving as Senate president, he put more new money into K-12 education than had ever been previously allocated. Specifically, he said he put $640 million in new money into K-12 education.
To evaluate Bennett's claim, AZ Fact Check looked back at state budgets during the time he led the Senate.
As Senate president, Bennett played a key role in the 2004 through 2007 fiscal-year budgets. In fact, an Arizona Republic story about the fiscal 2007 budget debate notes that Bennett worked "hard to make the best deal possible and, in the end, was even lobbying reluctant House members to get on board" with the state budget.
An independent analysis by the Joint Legislative Budget Committee shows gains of about $500 million in fiscal 2006 and $469 million in funding boosts in fiscal 2007.
BOTTOM LINE: The Bennett campaign mailer is accurate. During the time he was Senate president, he played a key role in helping to approve the largest increases in K-12 education funding in Arizona
THE FINDING: Four stars; true.                             Read more at www.azcentral.com

Tomorrow Is Critical Day for AZ

Tomorrow, voters in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District will have a chance to choose who the best candidate is to defeat Ann Kirkpatrick in November and represent our Arizona values in Washington DC.
You’ve seen the TV commercials, heard the radio ads and saw the mountains of mail in your mailboxes from candidates vying for this office, along with many others. Now, I’m asking you for your vote.
I’m a husband, a father, and a small business owner who deals with the same issues rural Arizonans face every day—an unsecured border, a growing national debt and a national economy that is struggling, forcing our children to look elsewhere for a good paying job.
We deserve better than Barack Obama and Ann Kirkpatrick—which I why I need your vote on Tuesday.
I am the only candidate with a proven, conservative track record of fighting illegal immigration, reducing the size of state government and putting money back into the pockets of taxpayers through the largest tax cuts in state history.
Together, we can turn the tide in Washington and that starts with your vote on Tuesday.
Thank you for your support,
