Alex Meluskey: Be Thankful For...

Happy Thanksgiving

While we come together with family and friends around the Thanksgiving table, let us all thank God for the blessing of living in the greatest country in the world. Today, I am most thankful for my family, my God, my country, and the brave men and women of the armed forces who cannot be with their families today.
America was founded on the idea that we all have a sacred duty to participate in our republic, I believe that is the only way we make it a stronger country for future generations.
As we thank God for the blessings bestowed upon us, let us also remember the words of General George Washington on the first official Thanksgiving:
“Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and—Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

May God bless you, your families and your children today—and may he forever shed his magnificent grace on the United States of America.
Your humble servant,
Alex Meluskey
U.S. Senate Candidate (R-AZ)
