President Obama and Ann Kirkpatrick continue to stall resolutions and stand on
the wrong side of the border issue.
Kirkpatrick says she stands for a secure border but her record proves otherwise, and last week she doubled-down on her anti-border security position, voting against common-sense legislation to help secure America’s border in HR 5230.
Kirkpatrick not only voted against utilizing National Guard at the border, she voted against additional funding for border security and law enforcement to secure the border – which Arizonans know is desperately needed right now.
Worse - she stands with President Obama, even while reports indicated the White House is considering an executive order that would grant legal status to millions of people who are illegally here in the United States.

right…the President wants to grant AMNESTY.
The President and his allies
have decided to bypass the legislative branch, altogether, and legislate from
the White House. This is not what our Founding Fathers intended when they
created the Separation of Powers in the Constitution.

KIRKPATRICK’S VOTING RECORD ON IMMIGRATION IS AN AFRONT TO AZ:
- Kirkpatrick voted against providing an immediate solution to the ongoing crisis on the southern border.
- Kirkpatrick voted against utilizing the National Guard to help secure the southern border.
- Kirkpatrick voted against an effort to humanely accelerate judicial proceedings to reduce the current backlog and shorten the time to process cases of migrant children.
- Kirkpatrick voted against making common-sense changes in current law that would allow Central American children to be deported more expeditiously as is already the case with Mexican children.
- Kirkpatrick voted against removing unreasonable barriers to allow the Border Patrol on to federal land.
- $405 million for the Department of Homeland Security to boost border security and law enforcement activities.
- $22 million to accelerate judicial proceedings for immigrants.
- $70 million for National Guard border efforts: $35 million for the federal deployment of the Guard and $35 million for reimbursing states for their use of the Guard on the Southern Border.
- $197 million for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide temporary housing and humanitarian assistance to unaccompanied minors.
- $40 million in repatriation assistance to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. This funding is redirected from within existing foreign aid for Central American countries so that these repatriation activities are immediately prioritized.
It’s
time to release Ann Kirkpatrick of her post and elect a Representative who will
stand up for Arizonians!
