Be Safe:Sal DiCiccio Phoenix City Council; District 6

I hope you're having a great Labor Day weekend with family! I know my family and I are enjoying this time together. Please make sure to make this a safe and happy time for your family

If you hadn't heard, Phoenix announced on Friday it was dropping the ill conceived proposal of charging residents to park at our parks. Many politicians are now jumping on the bandwagon thumping their chest saying they were opposed.

But, the real work went on behind the scenes. Four council members deserves much of the credit for stopping this new scheme. We all need to thank Councilman Michael Nowakowski, Councilwoman Thelda Williams, and Vice Mayor Jim Waring for their courage to stand up against the bureaucracy in fighting this idea. Many thanks to the countless volunteers like Ross Trumble for helping organize the effort of exposing the plan. And, most of all, thank you for all your help in getting the word out to others

Please have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day and please remember those in our military and their families.

My best to you and your family,
Sal DiCiccio
