Secretary Reagan builds on effort to modernize office
Phoenix – Secretary of State Michele Reagan has kicked off 2016 by saving a few trees.

Since taking office, one of Secretary Reagan’s goals has been to move away from the paper-based processes of the past through the use of technology.  Today, she announced her Elections Division has implemented a new electronic filing protocol for candidates who participate in the state’s system of publically-funded political campaigns.

“For more than a year, we have thoughtfully reviewed each procedure and process our office controls,” said Secretary Reagan.  “To increase efficiency and reduce the amount of paper filings, CCEC candidates will submit their documents electronically.  Now, candidates from Winslow to Wikieup will no longer need to travel to Phoenix to file their paperwork with us.  It’s a win-win for everyone.”

The latest advancement follows the overhaul of www.azsos.gov, the development of an online notary registration system and the establishment of www.AzCapitolGifts.com.  Combined with the ability to process credit cards, the Department of State has seen a dramatic improvement in public awareness and efficiency.
